About The Studio

Kathryne Karibo, owner of the Quilted Comforts custom quilting business, opened a new studio in downtown Rochester at 308 East Street in February of 2008. 

Kathryne became interested in quilting after her daughter's school made a plea for help making quilts to send to families that lost loved ones on 9/11 in New York. The experience was so rewarding, Kathryne bought her first long-arm machine in 2002 and started her home-based business. Quilted Comforts has grown from offering computerized long-arm quilting services to now include custom quilts including memory quilts, baby quilts, t-shirt quilts, or other custom orders.
